CONTRACTORS,
for contractors.

WonWay Tool Hire was founded in 2008 by a working contractor who was tired of paying for equipment that arrived late, broken or wrong. Today we run a fleet of 500+ machines across three yards – and we still answer the phone.

/ OUR STORY

17 YEARS ON THE JOB.

What started as a single TLB and a phone line has grown into a dedicated team serving general contractors, civils crews, landscapers, and suppliers across Wellington and the surrounding areas within a 50km+ radius.

We’ve stayed family-owned on purpose. Decisions are made by people who’ve stood in the trench. When a machine needs swapping at 4am, we send a truck — not an apology. We operate strictly locally, ensuring hands-on service with no distant head offices or third-party branches to deal with.

Every machine in our fleet is on a 250-hour service rotation, fully insured, and backed by our 24/7 breakdown line. That’s the WonWay Tool Hire standard. There isn’t a cheaper one.

/ OUR STORY

RELIABILITY

Every unit logged, inspected and pressure-tested before it leaves the yard. Downtime on your site is a failure on ours.

EXPERTISE

Technicians with site experience — not just rental clerks. We match the right machine to the job, every time.

PARTNERSHIP

We work the way contractors work: long hours, fast turnarounds, straight talk. Your project pace is ours.
